My Take On The Chivary Chair
When I was younger I used to think that chivary was a Yiddish word for a middle eastern dish but according to Wikipedia it is a is a town near Genoa, in Italy. It has about 28,000 inhabitants. It is situated near the river Entella.
The Chiavarina was created in 1807 by a cabinetmaker from Chiavari on the northwestern Italian coast, Giuseppe Gaetano Descalzi, who at the invitation of the president of the Economic Society of Chiavari, the Marquis Stefano Rivarola, reworked some chairs in the French Empire style, simplifying the decorative elements and lightening the structural elements. In My humble opinion we should rename the chivary chair to the Guiseppe Gaetano Chair. It is unbelievable how many different settings you will find the chivary chair in. I have seen ball rooms use it . I have seen restaurants use the chivary chair and believe it or not I have seen people use it in residential settings. Many Chair manufacturers will customize the frame finish and the seat vinyl for their customers but sometimes chair distributors will also keep some in stock. Many times hotels and ballroom have an urgent need for chivary chairs . At Avina Seating And Custom Furniture we custom make chivary chairs but we also have a quick ship option for facilities that need chivary chairs fast.
